Project Overview

Woka Walla was engaged to deliver a comprehensive fencing renewal program across multiple high-priority sites within the Moira Shire. This large-scale infrastructure project focused on enhancing public safety, securing council assets, and delineating boundaries in sensitive community areas.

The scope demanded rapid deployment teams capable of working in live public environments. Our solution involved heavy-duty materials designed to withstand regional weather conditions while meeting strict Vicroads and council engineering standards.

Key outcomes included the successful installation of over 4.5km of linear fencing with zero disruption to public amenities.

Scope of Work

Linear Infrastructure

Installation of 4,500m of perimeter fencing including post-and-rail, chain mesh, and security bollards.

Civil Works

Augering, concrete footing installation (25MPa), and site remediation post-installation.

Asset Security

Integration of heavy-duty lockable gates and anti-climb measures for council depot protection.

Materials Spec

Hot-dipped galvanized steel posts (100NB) and hardwood timber rails (Class 1 Durability).

Pedestrian Management

Executing works within active public parks and high-traffic council depots necessitated strict exclusion zones. Our team utilized temporary fencing and spotters to ensure zero interaction between plant machinery and the public.

Careful non-destructive digging (NDD) was employed around existing underground utilities to prevent service strikes, critical in established council precincts with aging infrastructure maps.
